Coach's Comments february, 2008
Dear BAC
Athletes and Parents,
The
Championship Season is already upon us.
The coming meets are the ones we have
prepared ourselves for since September.
I am looking forward to a great
season with great time drops and goals being
met.
It is of the utmost importance for
you to stay healthy, eating a balanced diet,
lots of rest, stay focused and above all,
the belief in your training and
preparedness.
We have
come so far as a team.
We have overcome obstacles and are
now ready take on
Michigan
and the zone.
With the District meet being the
first of our qualifying meets in less than 2
weeks.
I will be focusing on resting these
swimmers in hopes of them making new time
standards.
Next, we have the JO meet in less
than 3 weeks and the week after that 12 and
under state meet.
Where did the time go?
We will be
working on technique and speed in the next
month.
We have the base under us and ready
to build speed.
Make sure you are not altering you
sleep habits.
You need to go to bed early and get
up early since that is exactly the same
pattern you will need to swim in the
championship meets.
As most of
you know, last weekend there were to big
meets for our swimmers.
The middle school MISCA meet and the
CM meet in
Cincinnati.
I am very proud of how our swimmers
performed in both meets.
We had great competition in Cincy and
learned that not all states run swim meets
in the same manner as Michigan.
We must continue going to out of town
meets to face new competition and new
challenges.
I am looking forward to the next
season travel meet.
Remember
the secret to your success is you!
Yours in
Swimming,
Coach Teri
